Catfish Study Group = Show 2009

OPEN SHOW 2009 Back to Show Index

Our Open Show this year on the Sunday of the 20th September was again a success with a greater number of exhibitors sharing out the prizes, which made it more of a contest with not only the CSG members winning places but other clubs also took away place cards and trophies.

The only problem that I could see this year was fish being put into the wrong classes, which made the job that bit harder for the judges in sorting out the entrants.

The entrants this year was 125 which was only 7 down from last years 2008 show. The Committee would like to thank all exhibitors for turning up on the day to show which turned out to be a bright and sunny day, which made traveling long distances a lot more pleasurable.

Thanks must also go to Show Secretary Brian Walsh for his hard work, and the helpers in the canteen who done a sterling job keeping up the teas, coffees and the grub flowing along.

Special mention must be made to the sponsors of our show, which you can see below each class, which meant we did not have to charge for entering your fish. Remember it is only £10 to sponsor a class for next years show.
